At the Jirkatang check post, your vehicle will take a pit stop, allowing you to get down for some refreshments. Once refreshed, your vehicle will proceed to cross the check post, where vehicles are allowed to enter in groups of 7-10 at a time.

For safety, a couple of security personnel will board the front and back vehicles, ensuring the safety of both travelers and the local tribes. As you pass through the Jarawa Tribe reserve, your driver may ask you to switch off your mobiles and cameras due to restrictions on photography in these reserved areas, which is a punishable offense.

After passing through the tribal reserve, you will reach Nilambur Jetty, where you will transfer to a vehicle ferry. This ferry will take you to Baratang Island, accommodating buses, trucks, cars, bikes, and passengers, allowing you to cross the waters between Nilambur Jetty at Middle Strait and Baratang.
